"A Lexicon of Sound"

DAVE FINCKEL AND WU HAN It’s true that these two fine musicians are married, but please, refrain from any bad Captain and Tenille references. With all the praise that has been given to cellist Dave Finckel and pianist Wu Han by critics and audience members alike, there is hardly an impressive or flattering vocabulary word in the northern hemisphere that hasn’t already been used to describe their masterful performances. So, to save space, just pick up a Thesaurus and highlight every positive word associated with music, talent, skill, and emotion. Not only will you be able to describe this magnificent duo, but you’ll also impress (or confuse) your friends with your newfound repertoire of sophisticated lexis. Or you could just go to their performance this evening, presented by Carmel Music Society, and exercise your jaw in a different manner: by letting it hit the floor.
