SLOVENIA | April 5, 2007

In early April, David Finckel travelled to beautiful Slovenia for a concerto performance with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.

David enjoyed beautiful weather in downtown Slovenia.

On April 5th, David performed Elgar's Concerto for violoncello in E minor,
op. 85 in The Gallus Hall, part of the Ivan Cankar Cultural Centre. The RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Brian Wright. Pictured below is orchestra manager and clarinetist, Boris Rener, conductor Brian Wright, and David Finckel.

Following the performance David celebrated with a large dinner. (left to right) Robert Post (public affairs officer-American Embassy), ga. Rose Gottemoeller (director of the Carnegio Moscow Centre), American Ambassador Mr. Thomas B. Robertson, Ray Arnaudos (husband of Ms. Gottemoeler), conductor Brian Wright, wife of American ambassador Ms. Antoinette Robertson, David Finckel, and Boris Rener.

The beautiful mountains of Slovenia and the Austrian Alps could be seen by plane during David's trip home.
